Your children are special. Their needs are different from adults, as are the solutions to their problems. Clinical occupational, speech and physical therapy are based on the underlying medical cause of a child’s disability and treat the medical cause or the symptoms. This differs from therapy in the school system. The purpose of occupational, speech and physical therapy in the school setting is to help your child function in the school setting so he or she can benefit from the educational program. Therapy in schools does not necessarily focus on your child’s underlying medical problem.
That’s why we at Sierra Rehab & Wellness Center have developed a specialized program just for children to receive the medically determined therapy they need. We have therapists solely dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of your child for occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy. Erin, Nicole and Jessie are experienced in working with children and getting results with them as each child’s medical causes and symptoms are addressed. This means your child is receiving fully encompassing therapy that will help him or her to have the most fulfilling life possible.
Parents are a key factor in the success of a child’s therapy. Our dedicated therapists involve you, the parents, at appropriate levels to maximize the results and keep costs down. Some insurance companies don’t recognize the benefit of medically determined therapy in addition to the therapy provided by the school systems which relate just to the educational program. Here at Sierra rehab & Wellness Center we will work with you to make your child’s personalized therapy more affordable when insurances aren’t willing to contribute.
Here are some of the many conditions our pediatric specialists treat. We treat your child by doing things kids naturally do and like to do. We work AND we play!
