| Physical therapy provided by Sierra Rehab & Wellness Center offers comprehensive care that includes consultation, evaluation and treatment of patients experiencing pain or difficulties in daily physical activities due to trauma, disease or illness. Therapists work individually with patients to restore optimal movement and function, to relieve pain, improve strength and range of motion, and to restore balance and coordination. Treatment emphasizes efforts to instill responsibility of care to the patients through the use of early home programs and education. Techniques include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, soft tissue/joint mobilization, mobility training and various modalities. One-on-one care is emphasized with the development of individualized programs. Physical therapy can benefit both children and adults, including those with restricted or excessive joint movement, muscle weakness, problems with balance, coordination, walking or functional activities.
