After dealing with fairly severe and constant shoulder and arm pain for approximately 6 months, I sought out a local orthopedic surgeon as I suspected a rotator cuff or neck problem. MRI’s of shoulder were negative. My surgeon referred me to physical therapy. To say I was skeptical is a major understatement! My physical therapist (Pam Perga) got right to the root of the problem. After my second session my pain was dramatically reduced, and I knew we were on the right track. After 4 weeks of therapy I am pain free, and I couldn’t be happier. I will not hesitate to recommend or refer because of my great experience with the therapists and staff at Sierra Rehab & Wellness Center.

I want to thank you for the excellent guidance and training you gave to me these last months. When I started physical therapy I was depressed, and felt that I was destined to be in constant pain, and greatly limited in what kind of physical movement I would have for the rest of my life.
You have affected not only my physical strength, but have given me hope for my future. Your positive encouragement and expertise have had a great impact upon me.
I thank you. I will have your words and the exercises that you have given me to use to encourage me for a true lifestyle change.

- Sincerely, Bonnie

The purpose of my visits was because of severe back pain. I couldn’t sleep at night. It was difficult to lift my 4 month old son. I couldn’t sit in a chair for too long.
When I started I was wary. Thinking how can simple stretching fix my back problem? But I gave it a try. Man! Some of those exercises were hard – turned my flab into muscle. And, they worked.
My back feels so much better. Thank you guys. The staff was great. Melon was wonderful. And Pam, well, she’s a life saver (back saver.)

I first came in with a wrist injury from softball, and it was nice to feel like part of the family from the moment I stepped in the door. The first couple of visits were painful, but progress was seen every time I came in. After a few weeks, my wrist was almost back to normal and that was encouraging. Not knowing what to expect when I got here, it was nice to see a fast recovery. Between John and Pam, they got me back to where it was if the injury never happened. They each used a different approach to therapy and everything they did worked to perfection. This was definitely a success. Thanks Guys!

When I first started, the nodular plantar fasciitis was so painful, I almost thought I wouldn’t be running again. When I woke in the mornings, getting out of bed was painful!
NOW – not only am I pain free, but starting to run again. Under Pam’s guidance I have a much better understanding of how to regain my ability to run without injury.
Coming here has been a pleasure. Positive, smiling faces and never waiting and so many great personalities! Thanks!

On the last day of August, I checked into Sierra Rehab for my left knee. Always thinking it happened to the “other guy”, I was nervous about the knee operation and the rehabilitation. But Melon, Pam and the crew only challenged my unstable knee as much as it was ready for. Soon, thoughts – then expectations – of me returning to tennis, skiing and cross country running were made possible by the supervised therapy I received here at Sierra Rehab.

When I first arrived I had severe pain in my leg. I had been to the doctor and he was unable to relieve the pain. After two weeks on medications he referred me to this facility. After my initial meeting and evaluation with Pam it was determined that I had a pinched nerve in my back. She put me on a therapy schedule of several different exercises. After only 2 and one half weeks there has been a marked improvement. There is no pain at all. I would highly recommend Pam to any one with unresolved pain issues.

My experience here at Sierra Rehab & Wellness Center was wonderful! I was in so much pain when I started I could not turn my head. Pam fixed me right up! I also must commend her on her physical therapy methods. I have done physical therapy before, but all they did was mechanical traction, ultra sound and massage. Of course this felt great, but it was only short term relief! Pam does manual traction, and she makes you work the muscles with exercise which provides long term results! She even gave me an exercise that helps my headaches! Thank you for everything!

I don’t believe I could have found a better therapist or center as a whole. The one-on-one experience with my therapist is far superior than having an appointment with 10 other people at the same time and waiting for someone to assist you between exercises. The entire experience was better than expected and I am full of gratitude. Thank you!

In late May I broke both wrists roller skating with my 4th graders on an end-of-school outing. I had a pin surgically installed in my right wrist and recovered quickly. Seven weeks later, the tendon in my right wrist broke (Dr. says that is “text book case”) and tendon surgery took place September 13. After recovery from that, therapy began with Erin Wilke, a cheerful, competent and careful hand therapist. We did twice weekly therapy (with gaps for my Thanksgiving and the flu) until December 20. Every session there was marked improvement, and the measurements showed a progress of 20-30 degrees flexibility, and 20 lbs increased strength. Erin gave good instruction for exercise between sessions, plus skilled stretching, etc., every session. Erin is such a personable therapist that the sessions were fun, not just toil and work. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking hand therapy. (We concluded ahead of schedule.) Thank you so much!

I've had physical therapy before, but no one compares to the excellent one-on-one care that you provide. You made physical therapy fun.

I arrived three months ago, limping and depressed - now I'm about ready to start dancin' in the streets. Thanks, Sierra.

My pain level was fairly high for years. Now my pain is gone 99% of the time. When it's not, they gave me the tools to make it go away. I would recommend Sierra Rehab in a heartbeat for people with chronic pain.

My rehab before Sierra Rehab had me really disliking therapy. Here, things were so much better and it helped in making me feel physically better.
